How safe is your workplace? This workshop will provide you with a solid grounding in the principles of explosion protection and intrinsic safety with reference to the local, national and international standards for the construction, installation and commissioning of this type of equipment. There are 5 practical sessions illustrating the effectiveness of the protection principles shown in the class.

The principles of Hazardous Areas do not change since they are based on the laws of physics. However, the interpretation of these standards causes differences in their applications. This is clearly outlined in the workshop. Engineers working with hazardous area process control, electrical equipment and instrumentation require an understanding of the close integration between the safety and operational concepts of hazardous areas as a protection technique in order to specify, design and maintain systems.
