The Conference
Your business is probably facing one of the most turbulent periods in its history with enormous uncertainty evident in 2009. To succeed in this environment, you have to reduce costs and raise the bar on your productivity and efficiency. Thus it is vital that electricity which powers our business assets is delivered reliably at an affordable cost.
The use of IT, automation systems and communication technologies are playing a huge role in bringing about standardization, increased revenues and reduction in transmission and distribution losses for the power industry. The conference will cover the use of IT, automation, control and communication technologies in the power industry from the core perspectives of generation, transmission to distribution. This will cover such areas such as enterprise management, generation planning, power plant management, transmission and distribution network management, load despatch, loss reduction, metering, revenue management and customer service. It will also cover "new" areas such as trading and regulatory compliance.
