Are IDC Technologies and the Engineering Institute of Technology related?
IDC Technologies began providing cutting-edge technical and engineering training in the early 1980’s. From 2007 the decision was made to offer selected courses via distance education using the latest e-learning techniques. Demand for these courses grew so much that a unique new entity known as the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) was launched to focus on advanced distance learning in engineering and technology.
For more information on the EIT visit www.eit.edu.au.
Can IDC workshops I attend contribute to Continued Professional Development (CPD) points?
Yes, IDC workshops are designed to meet your continuing professional development requirements. A certificate documenting your attendance will be awarded at the end of the workshop. This serves as important evidence of your continuing professional commitment to your career. Existing members of Professional bodies that provide CPD points such as Engineers Australia are entitled to claim CPD hours for private study, short courses, and learning activities at the workplace. CPD hours can be claimed for our courses in most cases. We advise individual members to check with the institution if unsure regarding a specific course.
Where can I attend an IDC public workshop?
IDC public workshops are scheduled regularly in Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, India, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, South Africa, Central Africa, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt. If you are located outside these areas please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about in-house options available to you.
I am unable to attend a workshop, or it is not scheduled in my area. How can I still receive this training?
If the workshop you would like to attend is not scheduled in your area, or you are unable to attend the one that is, we have a number of different options for you.
