The purpose of this conference is to analyse the real causes of the generation capacity crisis in South Africa which have caused the immediate power cuts and had such a severe impact on the country’s industries and mines. The focus of this conference will be from an engineering and technical point of view with a strong financial and economic thread running through the discussions and panels. The important issue is to avoid a knee jerk reaction but to assess the issues carefully and unemotionally from a strong technical and financial point of view.
This one day forum will cover a selection of case studies and examples of real world working systems. It will be an excellent opportunity to network with your peers and gain significant new information and techniques on solving power crisis problems and providing all participants with a toolbox of practical steps to implement at your site immediately.
