Tasmania - July 1st & 2nd 2009
The Regional Electrical Engineering Forum 2009 will examine and discuss the latest local and international practices and standards in electrical safety, switchgear & power cables, renewable energy and remote & emergency power with a focus on the engineering environment and people of Tasmania and surrounding areas.
The first theme running through the forum is electrical safety. Year after year industries around the world are hit with electrical accidents and industry is always looking for further improved safety measures. The second thrust of the forum is to look at best practice in switchgear (incl. circuit breakers) and power cables. You will hear about and discuss application, installation, maintenance and testing issues relating to medium and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers. Low voltage switchgear (including MCCB’s and fuses) will also be covered. The third theme of the forum is on case studies, state of the art and practical applications of renewable energy, remote, emergency and standby power supply systems, batteries and achieving good quality power supplies.
You will gain insight from experienced engineers, technicians and other technical professionals who, like yourself, are all extremely keen to eliminate electrical accidents and improve technologies. We can never be too aware, or too informed, of the best codes of practice, the best equipment to use and what pitfalls to avoid. IDC Forums offer speakers and delegates an interactive learning experience in addition to valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals.
